Some things to note - Only W7 users affected still. That said, we're still in talks with MS, they think it's an MFA issue although this started happening way before all of that hoop-la started.
OUTLOOK FOR MAC WON'T CONNECT TO GOOGLE ANYMORE UPDATE
I should probably update my post, but i wasn't getting any hits anymore, so was just waiting for a conclusion before actually writing an ending piece. I was on vacation for like 3 days, and actually it's come back at full force. Hope you have better luck than us, otherwise I'll keep you posted on our findings. Someone else was having a similar issue, but it seems it went away by itself, no such luck here. We opened a case with our Office 365 reseller, but they haven't been any help yet. The Address fields in Google Contacts is displayed in Outlook but. Only the following contacts fields are supported between Google and Outlook for Mac: Name (First, Middle, Last), Suffix, Title, Company, Department, Nickname, Emails, Phones, Notes. The Outlook connection diagnostic is trying to connect (state) but shows Error in the Authn field. Changes you make to contacts in Outlook will be always be uploaded to Google immediately. Checked if websites are blocked in our firewall Tried to create a new profile for the user, but it couldn't get passed the user/password
Kill all Office process in the task manager (after starting Outlook it still doesn't work) Disable powersaving on the network card
Disable Hardware Acceleration in Outlook Enable Offline mode (can't disable it without a reboot, which temporarely fix the issue) Run the network diagnostic on the NIC = no error found Tracert = seems to get to the end and the response time is good Used the Microsoft SaRa tool = no problem found Closing Outlook and reopen it (not working) They can send and receive emails fine on their cellphone and webmail, but Outlook can't seem to reconnect.ĭoing a reboot or a logoff/login seems to work for some time (sometimes days but most often only a few hours). We've been having the same issue with a few of our usersįor the past week in both of our sites (different ISP, firewall and network)
